HousingCrowdfund
Providing insights into the funding of housing development.
What is crowdfunding?
There are many definitions of "crowdfunding".  One type of crowdfunding involves, "the practice of funding a project or venture by raising many small amounts of money from a large number of people, typically via the internet." (Google Dictionary)  Another definition refers to crowdfunding as enabling, "eligible companies to offer and sell securities..." (SEC)  All definitions refer to raising money from a variety of sources.
What is HousingCrowdfund?
HousingCrowdfund was created as a technology platform where individuals, communities, developers, and investors could share information about different ways that housing development is funded.  Over the last two decades, the need for housing development has increased in communities across the United State.  We now need more, and better, insights into the funding of housing development.  HousingCrowdfund is a platform for sharing that information.
SEC Rules and Regulations
The Securities and Exchange Commission (the "SEC") has passed "Regulation Crowdfunding", which enables eligible companies to offer and sell securities through crowdfunding.  HousingCrowdfund is not a broker-dealer or crowdfunding portal, so we are not registered with the SEC, and we are not an intermediary in any investment transactions.  In fact, we do not take part in the investment process.  This website is an information exchange about crowdfunding and housing development projects.
HousingCrowdfund Partners
HousingCrowdfund focuses specificially on providing insights into the funding of housing development.  We do not provide insights into other aspects of housing development, but we are partnered with other websites that provide those insights.  Those partners include housingData.com and housingModel.com.  HousingData.com is the first website dedicated to housing research and analytics.  HousingModel.com is a game changing platform for creating housing development models - models for planning, designing, building, financing, and managing housing.
